Microsoft Releases a Copilot App For Mac 14
Microsoft has released a native Copilot app for macOS, offering AI-powered text and image generation, dark mode, and a Command + Space shortcut. The Verge reports: Microsoft is launching this new Copilot Mac app in the US, UK, and Canada today, and the iPad version is also being updated with a split screen mode. You'll also now be able to log into Copilot on an iPhone or iPad with an Apple ID, and upload text or PDF files to ask questions about the documents or generate a summary about them. This document summarization feature is also coming to the macOS app soon. You can download the app here.

Yeah. I can count on zero fingers the number of Mac users who have been begging for a Mac version of Copilot.

Microsoft didn't do that - it's the standard way to launch a Spotlight [wikipedia.org] search, and has been for 20 years (ever since Apple sherlocked Quicksilver). I use that to launch apps far more often than clicking on icons, actually.

Knowing Microsoft, they're probably just usurping the shortcut to insert themselves into it. They're very consistent in trying to force people to use things they're not interested in.

It all makes me think that the Apple logo should be revised with a worm in it.
So, I went to MS Image Creator, and put in these prompts:
1st try : apple computer logo with a worm in it
This gave me colorful kids cartoon pictures of an apple with a happy worm - cute, but not the idea.
2nd try : apple computer corporation, mac logo, with a worm in it
This gave an accurate rendering of the Apple logo with some dystopian worms - not appealing pictures, but close to the theme.
