Apple Releases iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14 To Public Beta Testers 9
Apple today seeded the first public betas of upcoming iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14 updates to its public beta testing group, two weeks after first providing the updates to developers after the WWDC keynote.

Normally I don't load beta versions on my primary phone until they are pretty far along, but some features in this release drew me into loading it early - so far, only minor glitches and otherwise it's been nice.

I've run the betas mostly on my iPad the last couple of years, but because I'm working from home now, it's a lot less important that my phone be super-stable and have a full-day battery. I'm willing to put up with some unexpected battery drain to get at some of these new features.

This seems pretty fast for moving from Developer Betas to Public Betas. And I haven't read any horror stories, or even major gripes (other than the typical battery-drain issues that seem to come with major iOS versions); so perhaps this will be stable from the get-go.
In fact, I spoke with a support tech from my cable provider that said about 2 weeks ago that he had been running iOS 14 beta on his iPhone 11, and was completely happy with the stability and performance. I know, anecdotes...

Can't wait to read the inevitable Gordon Kelly click bait at Forbes that screams about a shocking revelations that all apple users are in for a big, nasty surprised that they will be furious about... and then proceed to detail some minor glitch or barely-used removed feature or some conceptual, not-actually-realized potential for a problem, or some if-misconfigure-these-10-things vulnerability, or something like that.
