You can already play the songs on your iPod right in iTunes. Just turn auto-syncing off.

but when will we have pst import and pocket pc synch?

...long overdue, and not as full-featured as its Windows counterpart. In fact, it's pretty half-assed.

Slow as dirt. No evident support for .PST files. Just sets up an IMAP account for mail and LDAP for the Exchange address list, which is USELESS if you have an IT Deprtment full of Mac-hating tightasses who won't turn on IMAP or anything other than the bare minimum services that Windows PCs need to use Outlook. I think it even needs SMTP turned on to send mail out.

We waited a year for THIS???

Man, pudge, you're killing me smalls. Do us a favor and don't use the headline "Mega Monday Updates" when we are waiting impatiently for the long overdue Powerbook updates. I nearly spilled my soda on my keyboard as I frantically rushed to load apple.com after seeing this headline in my Slashbox.
    • What you mean like hardware Powerbook updates, or some sort of firmware point release?

I'll melt my 19" rack and sell it for slag if it means I can get myself a Rev. B 17" alBook this year, loaded to the gills.

The Exchange connector, frankly, sucks. You made us wait a year for stinkin' IMAP and LDAP connectivity? SMTP required to send mail? Come on! I service many clients whose internal IT departments would laugh me out of their offices if I requested they turn on SMTP and IMAP on their Exchange server. The Exchange component of Entourage needs to work *exactly* like the Windows version of Outlook, or at least as well as Outlook 2001 for OS 9.x did.
    • Done!

I sent the following message to the link you provided:

After waiting for months for your upgrade to Entourage, and its promise to work with Exchange servers, I am very dissappointed to find that it still does not function well in a corporate environment.

The IM&T department at my company tolerates my mac on the network, but provides me no support. Therefore, getting them to enable IMAP and/or SMTP is out of the question.

So far, my only working option remains to operate a PC just to receive pr

Well, Microsoft really messed up BIG TIME.

Instead of delivering a true replacement to Outlook 2001 for Mac OS X all we got was the same old thing refined.
Just how many Exchange IT people are going to enable SMTP, IMAP and Webmail for Mac users? Why didn't MS make Entourage a true MAPI client like they promised back in February?

Looks like some of us are still stuck with Outlook 2001 running Classic...

Mabe we can convince XIMIAN to port Evolution over to Mac OS X and Quartz.....

Installed the update... Word would no longer run... I'm running OS X 10.2.6... All other Office apps were OK... Reinstalling Word did not help... consistently received message "Microsoft Word Unexpectedly Quit"... Tried lots of stuff including deleting Office with Microsoft's Remove Office utility and reinstalling without success... finally removed all Microsoft Office references on my machine and reinstalled Office and 10.1.2 update which restored Word.... A major pain... If you really don't need the 10.1.4 upgrade, you might consider not installing it...

This can happen if you are using a "pirated" serial number, as newer versions of the updates apparently contain databases of numbers known to be floating around on the 'net. While I am certainly not saying that you are pirating software, the use of one of these serials might be a possible reason.
