tlhIngan writes "Taiwan recently mandated that online download sites (like Apple's App Store and Google's Marketplace) must now comply with a law stating consumers have 7 days to return goods bought sight-unseen (e.g., online). Whilst Apple has complied (details unknown — suspected through the normal iTunes support channels), Google has refused to comply. Taiwan has fined the search giant NT$1M (approx. US$34,600) over this. In retaliation, Google has pulled the paid apps section of the Marketplace for Taiwan users (free apps are still available)."
