ndogg writes "Security experts found that the iPhone 3GS has very little security, even with a PIN set up. They plugged one into Ubuntu 10.04, and it was automounted with almost all of the iPhone's data being exposed. It has been reported to Apple, but they seem to be having difficulty reproducing the problem."

There is a market for secure devices - it's one that RIM's Blackberry is happily occupying and Apple would very much like to move into. Even outside of the business market most people have pictures on their phones, and many of those could be considered "sensitive data" in the wrong context.
