Richard Dreyfuss Reads the Apple EULA 4

HockeyPuck writes "Why are end user license agreements and terms of service so long and convoluted? CNET asked Academy Award winner Richard Dreyfuss if perform a dramatic reading of the Apple EULA." If Jobs doesn't hire him as the voice for all their end user agreements he's crazy.

Richard Dreyfuss Reads the Apple EULA

  • Just kidding. :-)

But I'm deaf so... He just reads it? That's all? Is it funny?

    • It is. When he is stating how violations will terminate the contract, he uses a rough German accent. When asking you to pay particular attention to a part he has a very staccato delivery that is quiet and forces you to strain to hear. It is a very good example of method acting and delivery. Unfortunately, without video you really are missing out on the performance.
  • He should have tried to use the same voice style as he did in the old Apple commercials, rather than this annoying, ambiguous Shakespearean accent voice.
